We hope the stress of applications and finding the qualification you want to pursue is over or atleast leaning towards completion, now the next step is your registration.
Registration is you (as a first-year) officially enrolling to the institution of higher learning of your choice and then receiving your student card and also being oriented by senior students (FYE ambassadors) to ensure that you know your way around campus before your first official day.
For returning students, registration is also officially enrolling too but the difference is that returning students already have their student cards and they only select the modules they will be doing for that particular year.
Let’s run through a quick overview of all registration processes at different institutions;
Tshwane University of Technology
Visit www.tut.ac.za
Enter your student number and pin code under registered users. If you are a new student then you will only be able to activate your TUT4life e-mail address after you register online for the first time.
On the Memorandum of Agreement page, click on registration
Read through the Memorandum of Agreement then scroll down and click on the accept conditions button
Verify your qualification name
Select your employment status
Click on the save and continue button and then proceed to click on the add subjects to registration button
Select your subjects/modules
Click on save and proceed button
Verify the subjects you have selected and if you so wish to change a subject, click on the restart process button and start from the beginning
When you are satisfied with your modules, proceed to click on the accept registration button.

Select the register online tab and login
If you do not have a pin then you can request one by following the instructions on the screen and the pin will be sent to your NMU email address you got when you applied to the institution
After logging in, select registration which you will locate at the top left corner of your screen
After selecting registration, you can select the declaration by applicant tab. You will then have to read and acknowledge the content presented to you then click on the I accept button before you can be allowed to continue with your registration.
After clicking the I accept button, you can either click next step or register now (on the left side of your screen) and your qualification information for 2020 will be displayed. You will then be prompted to enter your employment status by selecting a value from the list that will be provided then click on the save and continue button.
The modules for your qualification will be presented on-screen and you will have to select by clicking on the text boxes on the left. After you have selected the modules which you want to register for then you will click on the save and continue button.
After having viewed the modules you have selected, click on the accept registration button in order to finalise your registration.
The last step will be clicking on the next step button and then selecting proof of registration to print /view your registration details for 2020.

Visit the Students tab on the CPUT website and click on the Student Online Services link or use the direct link www.cput.ac.za/sos
Click on login to SOS
Registered Users will appear and you will select Student and type in your student number and personal identification number
Click on Login if you know your pin
Select Student Enquiry on the left
Go to Summarised Statement of Account and verify the upfront payment of R3500
Follow the steps on screen and click on pay now
Return to Summarised Statement of Account
Select Student Administration on the left
Select Personal Information Update on the left to verify personal details
Click on save at the bottom of the page once you have updated any personal information
Select Personal Contact Detail on the left to verify your contact details
To add contact details, select New Record. To change existing contact details select Communication Type
Select Address Validation on the left to verify your address details
To add new details, click on New Record and to change details select Address Type
Click on save at the bottom of the page to save your details.
Select Academic Registration on the left
Select Rules and Regulations and read through them
Click on the I accept button
Select Submit Registration on the left
Verify the qualification displayed if it is correct
Select your Employment Status
Click on save and Continue
Select Submit Registration and proceed to select your subjects
