32 local charities to benefit from the annual Cavendish Square Charity Book Sale.

In a sustained effort to support and raise funds for local charities, Cavendish Square’s 11th annual Charity Book Sale will take place this year on Thursday 26 August, and will run until Sunday 29 August in the Edgars Court and lower ground floor of Cavendish Square. The Claremont-based shopping centre is appealing to the public to continue lending their hands for the 32 local charities that will be participating in the book sale this year.

Last year, R370 000 was raised and shared amongst more than 30 charities. Following the success of last year’s sale and the recent Charity Book Sale Preview on Mandela Day, participants at this year’s charity event are hoping to exceed these numbers.

Not only does the Cavendish Square Charity Book Sale provide a substantial source of annual fundraising and income for these charities, but it has also provided a powerful platform for them to create awareness about their organizations or causes, by allowing them to engage with and educate the public.

The 4-day Charity Book Sale on 26 – 29 August at Cavendish Square will be in action throughout the centre’s opening hours and is a great opportunity for the whole family to share in the experience of giving back to charities in their community.
